The Media and Communications Intern works alongside the Senior Director of Strategy, Innovation, and Partnerships and other Conference staff to support social media, video, photography, graphic design, web content, email communication, event promotion, and ministry storytelling. This is a developmental role designed for a college student or emerging professional who wants hands-on experience creating real work for a nonprofit and ministry environment.
The intern will assist with both routine communication needs and selected campaigns while learning how content is planned, approved, produced, distributed, and evaluated. All public-facing work will be completed within established brand standards and approval workflows. The intern will not independently issue sensitive statements or represent the Conference on matters requiring executive or pastoral review.
This internship is open only to members in good standing of a Seventh Day Baptist Church.
This internship supports the mission of the Seventh Day Baptist General Conference by helping communicate stories, resources, opportunities, and ministry impact in ways that connect churches, leaders, and members. Through thoughtful media production and dependable communication support, the intern helps strengthen church connection, leadership development, Gospel outreach, church planting, and shared ministry while gaining practical experience in a Sabbath-centered, faith-based organization. This internship is open members of SDB Churches only.
By the conclusion of the internship, the intern should be able to demonstrate growth in the following areas:
Interns are expected to support the mission and values of the Seventh Day Baptist General Conference and work cooperatively within a faith-centered environment. The intern should demonstrate respect for the Conference's Sabbath-centered identity, its churches and leaders, and the people whose stories are entrusted to the organization.
